uti symptoms or period symptoms

i recently had a uti and got very sick but needed ho being put on meds for it. a few weeks later today i woke up not feeling to good. i start my period in a few days and i can’t tell if it’s a uti (again) or my period. i’ve noticed my pees are sometime short but also my middle/upper back hurts, i went from super hungry to nauseous today and borderline constipated. i took a hot shower and i’m trying to drink water since ive gotten my uti because i’ve been very paranoid that it’ll come back. any advice on what i should do?

8/11/21 — update i bought uti strips and pain relief pills and i do have one so my mom is going to call the doctor tomorrow and hopefully i can be put BACK on medication and it goes away.

8/12/2 — update 2: dr called back and i have to go to the hospital to get a uti culture to figure out what’s causing it and i’m kinda nervous about that. but i’ll update you guys again. i feel fine today bc i took a uti pain reliever thing but now my piss is orange.
