My last pregnancy they didn’t tell me to fast and I failed the 1 hour then passed the 3 hour. This time I’m fasting regardless because I don’t want to do it twice.

My ob did not require me to fast but I did choose to fast on my own and still had elevated blood sugar so have to do the 3 hour test

No but my midwife recommended avoiding eating something starchy/sugary beforehand. I had some cheese and almonds for breakfast and passed no problem.

Fasting depends on which test you are getting and there’s different reasons for the different tests, like if you have no history of GD and no family history of diabetes then you likely will do a 1 hour test which does not require fasting. If you have history or family history then you get the 2 hour which requires fasting and if you fail that (or the 1 hour test) you have to take the 3 hour which also requires fasting

My test was in the morning and I couldn’t eat before but no I didn’t have to fast the night before just couldn’t eat anything before the test in the morning which was at 8 am.. I felt like I was going to pass out after

No but I didn't eat anything I the morning before I went to the test. I've heard that alot of people eat before and fail and have to go to the 3 hour. I passed mine.
