So backstory.... I've been dating for SO for about 8months. I was previously married and when I first started dating him told him I didn't really want to ever get married again and marriage doesn't define a relationship. We both definitely want kids which is great. Fast forward 4 months, he started talking about getting married in the future and when talking about kids he posts baby bump, ring, couple house. 💍 🤰👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🏡 saying he'd like to get married someday. I warm up to the idea and say yeah maybe. Fast forward recent. We were out with friends talking about kids and stuff because I'm 34 and if we want to its gotta happen sooner than later. He said yeah let's start trying. So I mention well, if you want to you better put a ring on it. I would like to atleast be engaged to show commitment. Weve now been TTC for 2 months. A week later I mentioned something about a ring and he said I bring it up over and over and seemed upset. Well now I'm really not interested. Marriage brings unwanted stress and I would rather just go back to being happy. Is it me or whats going on????? He gives such mixed signals sometimes and others hes straightforward (which I love). I mostly don't understand how someone is so gung-ho for kids but goes back about getting married when he wanted to in the first place 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
