Do teachers sometimes act like they know your child more than you?

Have you ever had an experience where your child’s teacher implied they know more about your child than you?

I have a friend who is a kindergarten teacher. She doesn’t have any children of herself but she has a lot of opinions regarding children. During the pandemic she has been very incessant on her kindergarteners wearing masks all day. The school only required it for 7+, but she petitioned to the school board and even governor to require it for 3+. She won and her K’s wore masks all last year. So, this year my 3 year old son is starting Preschool. He has autism and sensory issues and cannot stand wearing a mask. I’ve tried my hardest but he can’t stand it and panics, so I do not make him. I was talking to her and I said his preschool does not require masks for the little kids. Only 1st grade and above. I said I was happy about it because he can’t wear a mask.
