How many days of stims?

Back in 2019 I did two retrievals. My doctor kept me on stims for 14 days. My follicles were slow to grow and each time she wanted to give a chance for the smaller ones to mature. Though I had some larger follicles early on. Of two retrievals, I got 26 eggs and 5 made it to blast and pgs normal.

When I moved to NY, earlier this year, my doc only kept my on stims for 8 days. I got 5 eggs resulting in 2 embryos but neither were genetically normal.

When I asked my current doctor if we should wait for my smaller follicles to give me more eggs he said no cause the mature ones will go bad.

Has anyone heard this before? I know I’m 2 years older and my current doctors stims are more aggressive (600 gonal f vs 350) but seems like a few more days of stims helped with getting more.

I’m using a different doctor in their clinic due to scheduling but wanted to get some others thoughts. How many days of stims?
