How long did your early labor last?

Question

At my 39 week appointment I had a cervical check and wasn’t dilated. At 1am, I started having contractions every 2-3 minutes. I waited until the morning (couldn’t sleep though) and went to labor and delivery at 8am because my contractions were still 2-3 minutes apart. Nurse checked me and I was 2 cms, I ended choosing to go home, and my contractions slowed down till about every 10 minutes for the rest of the evening and I ended up getting a good night sleep.
This morning I noticed I lost my mucus plus with brown blood, but haven’t had contractions yet this morning.
Just wondering in your experience how long your early labor lasted before active labor?

I was having contractions the full day before but like every hour or so.
By 6am the next day they were 5 minutes apart. I went in to l&d at 10am, they checked me I was a 4.
My water broke around 6 or 7pm I started pushing at 10pm had my boy at 12:17am.

With my 3rd I had lost my mucus plug around 3am and after that had very mild sporadic contractions all day until I went into active labor at 7:20 that night

I was in early labor at 37ish Weeks and it fizzled out. Was induced at 39
