My mom didn’t talk to me when I had a baby. Whatever. Months after having the baby I reached out to her and she’ll see the baby when only when include her with family things. She’s never reached out to me or initiated wanting to see our now 8 month old. I try to be polite and let the past be the past. My father in law invited my husband, son and I to a dinner with about 15 people. The place was already chosen, a beautiful Italian restaurant nearby. I asked my mom if she wanted to go so I can include her with family stuff. She agree and days later texted this:

Is she being unreasonable? She’s always kinda been like this. Never really prioritized family which is why we had a falling out when I had my own family. I’m kinda mad at myself for reaching out and trying to include her. Thoughts?
