Searching for Answers

So I am on the combination pill of birth control, and have had regular periods since I started it over a year ago, other than one or two instances of breakthrough spotting. My last period came on schedule on July 25 and lasted 7 days— which is normal for me.

The week of August first was easily the most stressful week of work I have ever had, after over two months working 12 hr workdays 7 days a week. Friday of that week, August 6th, I passed a large blood clot, and then began to bleed like a heavy period. I also had extremely bad cramps on August 12th. I had attributed it all to severe stress, but it has been over 8 days and the bleeding has not let up, and I have passed a lot of tissue/lining... With my work schedule, getting a doctors’ appointment is very difficult and so I haven’t had a chance to schedule one yet.

Has anyone had this sort of complication with stress, or the pill, or could this be a sign of something wrong, like endo, fibroids, or cancer?
