Mucus plug

So I am very positive I am losing chunks of my mucus plug no blood or anything though. According to this doctor I am just about 30 weeks pregnant but I think they are wrong by two weeks based off of first ultrasound so I think I am just about 32 weeks. I was wondering how long after you all started losing your mucus plug did you go into labor? I know it grows back I was just curious if there is a correlation to early losing mucus plug and going into labor early which I also think I will have this baby sooner than he’s due. TIA also once you start losing your mucus plug does that always mean you have started dialating?
