If someone asks you to borrow something, do you expect them to come pick it up or do you assume you have to drop it off to them?
So my friend asked to borrow my suitcase for her upcoming trip & she lives about 30 minutes from me. I offered to drop it off on a day I’ll be in the office since she isn’t too crazy out of the way from my route back home (it’d add like 10-15min to my drive home). But the day comes & she’s not home so I tell her like okay you’ll just have to come pick it up from me. She responds “lol” . Like ??? You asked me for the favor why should I have to go out my way to drop it off AND pick it back up ??
she doesn’t drive but her bf does& they live together
Like girl This ain’t Amazon prime
Am I wrong for not wanting to drive a whole 30 minutes to drop off the suitcase? I already know she’d expect me to pick it up too . Idk I just feel like if I’m asking to borrow a physical item from someone, I already expect to go and pick it up.
