Positive Preemie Birth Story
On 6/11, my water broke around 7 PM at 35 + 3. I was in total denial that I was in labor. My husband had to convince me to go to the hospital. I kept thinking I was “just uncomfortable” or “needed to go to the bathroom” 😂
We got to the hospital around 10 PM. At midnight, I got my epidural. By 2:30, it was time to push! My contractions stalled at the very end, but at 4:50, our strong little dude was born.
He had a little NICU stay to help develop his lung a little more and work on eating, but he’s a tough little fighter. They told us he’d probably be there 2-2.5 weeks, and after just 10 days we went home!
Now he’s 9 weeks and doing great! He’s gone from 15th percentile to 45th percentile in weight! He’s hitting all his milestones based on his actual age, not adjusted . I’m so proud of my tough, strong little dude!
