Baby is here, long story!

Amber

I had a membrane sweep done at my appt on Monday and it put me into labor I didn’t think it would actually work but it definitely did it! Since my appointment I had some irregular contractions,I woke at 2am with some painful one I thought they were irregular and would fade away. I started to time them cause they were not dying down and horrible and in my back. I finally couldn’t deal anymore around 4 am I called asking if I should come in cause they were about the 4-5 mins apart and painful I shed some tears for sure. They told me come get looked at and I was put on a monitor I was only dilated to a 3 but my contractions were real and there. They decide to keep me cause I had a low grade fever and high white blood cell count they think I was developing a infection of some type, I was thinning out and made it to a 5 they broke my water. I was able to get an epidural cause my back contractions I couldn’t deal anymore, I received it and oddly enough it worked but I had control over my legs still? Not sure what was going on there, I had internal monitors and waited for time to pass to get to a 10. I finally had the urge to push and I could tell my epidural was wearing off but I figured it’d be short and I was so wrong. I pushed for 2hrs and I was getting so tired, my dr told me his heart rate was starting to drop a little and if he wasn’t coming out soon she’s just have to do a csection. I pulled it together and tried a squat bar since i could use my legs and it helped bring him down a little. My doctor offered to use a vacuum on his head as my last chance and I felt all of it by this time my epidural was pretty much gone. I used every bit of energy I had left and pushed with the vacuum a good 4 times and his head finally came out along with the rest of him! He was 7 lbs and 13 oz
