Were your periods more irregular on or off of birth control?

Before I got on birth control over 3 years ago, I had slightly irregular periods, and I was told birth control could help me regulate. Well, I got the birth control and my period was never consistent and actually made my health decline hard. Ever since I got off of birth control in February (to get my health back up) my period has been regular, and I've had a consistent 26 day cycle.

While I was on birth control my periods were sooo irregular, I wouldn’t have a period sometimes for 3 whole months and then only have spotting. After I got off birth control to try and conceive I ended up having an ovarian cyst because of birth control. My doctor told me since I wouldn’t get my menstrual regularly that it caused me to have an ovarian cyst. It was extremely painful, I had it for about 2 months thankfully it’s gone now ! 😊. I had birth control for about 3 years almost 4, I’m never going to use it again lol . My periods are regular now and has been for 6 months but I did notice my cramps are wayy more painful than before BC and I also get breast and nipple pain, I used to neverrr get that before 😂
