Working from home

Mel • Mummy to a gorgeous girl and beautiful boy

Just looking for advice please ladies. I’m 23 weeks and work in a busy office. I’ve had 1 vaccine but at the moment I’ve been unable to get my second dose due to medical reasons. My work are beginning to lift restrictions now in line with the government and it’s making me really nervous as my pregnancy progresses. There was another lady in my office who is due next month who was sent home to work from home from 28 weeks. She said she didn’t want to go but was forced due to due to our company policy being in line with government advice for pregnant woman over 28 weeks. I’ve now asked my work what is going on with me and am I working from home from 28 weeks as when I had this discussion with them last month they didn’t know as they were waiting for the government restrictions to lift to see if their advice changed. From what I have read online the advice for pregnant woman hasn’t changed. They said they don’t have a policy on this anymore and will have to redo my risk assessment in a couple of weeks and see if it makes sense for me to work from home. I’m getting the impression they don’t want me to work from home and it’s worrying me. I’m feeling pressure to be in the office and I’m wondering why the other girls safety is more important than mine when I’m pretty sure cases are worse now. I should add I can and have regularly done my job from home and always been told my work is just as good at home as it is in the office. What do I do ? Are you all being sent to work from home if your in jobs where you can?

Sorry for the long post and thanks if you got this far x
