How do you feel about letting unvaccinated individuals around/touching your newborns when they arrive?

I think across the board I’m just going to have everyone wear a mask and wash their hands before holding the baby since vaccinated or not they can still be carrying the virus. I’m definitely pro people getting the vaccine but would never force it, and I guess vaccinated people are also more likely to be the ones with little to no symptoms if they were infected, so I’m just play it safe!

I don’t know why someone’s vaccination status should matter. It’s now well known that both the vaccinated and unvaccinated can carry and spread the virus. We’re going to practice common sense hygiene and no kissing and prayers lol.

I will have everyone vaccinated or not be wearing a mask and washing their hands normal hygiene stuff. Depending on how much worse it might get since I’m due at the end of September we might just cancel everyone seeing her and doing zoom or FaceTime calls. But we will see.

I had Covid during pregnancy so I know my child has the antibodies. However, my rule across the board (Covid or pre-Covid) is they must wash their hands before, no kissing, and if you’re not feeling well, have the common sense to not come over/touch the baby. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙃

I don’t think it even matters if covid is a thing or not. Common sense is key. Wash your hands, don’t touch babies face, kiss baby etc…
I think we tend to forget there are other viruses, diseases, infections etc.

My husband and I are both unvaccinated. Vaccination status isn’t an issue unless you are newly vaccinated. I don’t want anyone who just received the vaccine around my newborn. They could have side effects from the vaccine (fever, etc) and I don’t want any illness around my baby. 
With that being said ANY person holding our baby will wash their hands and wear a mask. Absolutely no kissing or holding our baby near anyone’s face.

You can carry the virus regardless of whether or not you’ve been vaccinated so I will just be asking people to take a lateral flow test before they come

My husband and I aren’t vaccinated so we’re not going to limit people from seeing our daughter based on their vacation status. We have however chosen to limit people based on their risk of exposure, for example if they’re face to face with people daily or work in schools they will not be allowed over but if they’re wfh or their jobs have taken the necessary precautions to limit their face to face interactions they would be allowed over and of course those that are allowed over will still have to wash their hands and not kiss on our baby or our 2yr old. 
At the end of the day if someone gets upset over any rules you set that’s on them. With covid and rsv season at an all time high now is not the time to cater to people’s feelings but instead to protect your newborn and your family.

My husband and I are both not vaccinated. Everyone that is close to us is vaccinated. Our older children are going into preK and first grade.. we will be treating this baby the same as our others, everyone washes hands, don’t touch his face or kiss him etc. If they’re a smoker they have to change into fresh clothes. Anyone with symptoms even as small as a headache will not be allowed to come over.
