How much do you get when you pump?

Question

I'm currently pumping my left (due to inverted nipple) and nursing on the right. I try to pump every time he nurses and/or every 2-2.5 hours and get about 2 oz each time. Curious what other pumping mamas are getting each session because I can't seem to get more than that yet.

I get 3.5 to 4oz on each breast during a pumping session. Now I am starting to wean myself off because I have a huge freezer stash.

It’s always different for each person! So try not to compare! 2oz is great!!!! If you want to increase it or are ever worried your baby isn’t getting enough from your left, try pumping your left after baby eats! Or doing a power pumping session in the morning and incorporate milk producing foods into your diet!

That is a totally normal output! I haven’t started pumping yet but if you’re also breastfeeding that sounds normal for sure.

I breastfeed on demand now but when I've pumped I've never got more than 2 ounces from one boob either so I think you're  fine! I think from what I've read that after a few weeks the amount they eat per feed stabilises at about 4 ounces in total and they take that amount like 7 times a day or something on average. They don't keep needing more and more forever so if your babe is increasing on weight as they should you have enough supply. Mine is growing nicely on 75th percentile now!

I usually get 12 oz total every morning and then anywhere from 3-6 oz total every other session in the day. I pump 5-6 times a day. I had a huge oversupply with my first so I tried not to have that this time because I simply don’t have the freezer space. Every single person is different. Pumping is really hard especially if you are exclusively pumping so you should be really proud of yourself no matter how much your output is!! 
If you are looking to get more you could try power pumping once a day and a lot of women say drinking body armor helped them!

I exclusively pump and get anywhere from 2 to 5 ounces per breast, usually my left is closer to 5 and right is around 3. I pump 5 times a day for 15 mins (when I started I did 8 pumps a day).
