Do your like neighbors like you? Do you care?

Question

I think my neighbors hate me or at least think I'm standoffish lol. When I go for walks with my dog, I can't stand when they try to talk to me when they see that I'm trying to get my dog to go to the bathroom &  I dont hide my disdain for it. I know I'm not a very friendly person. I'm very introverted. I feel bad, but I'm not good at small talk. It's just not natural to me.

I don’t normally talk to neighbors. If they aren’t paying my bills they can kiss my ass 🙃🙃🙃. I’m not rude to them but we don’t have anything in common.

I love my neighbors. We all watch out for each other. Our kids all play together. We hang out. We take care of each others pets and/or property while we go on vacations.

I think i’m a great neighbour. I talk to most of them or say hello at least. My husband doesn’t and doesn’t care. He says I’m weird 😂. But I grew up with my parents being there to help their neighbours so I think it’s important. However They aren’t my friends either so if they aren’t talkative, I don’t care. I just let them be!

I live in an apartment building.. my only immediate neighbours are in their 60s-70s so we exchange pleasantries when we see eachother and they will let the dogs but that’s is. 
Besides that there’s one other family with small kids we see from time to time. But honestly I feel like most people don’t like us because I have one dog that is super afraid of men and other dogs (he can become aggressive if they get too close) and doesn’t particularly enjoy strangers other all. So he barks or we like rush past or around the people. 
The only ones so far he has been okay with are the older couple and that other family.

Idk if they don’t like us or just don’t want to associate with people. When we moved in we said hi when they were outside and we were moving in just a hello and they SCURRIED inside. There’s never any rude behavior by either side they just really hide when we’re out there 😅 it’s a strange neighborhood Honestly but it’s nice and quiet

Pretty sure mine think I'm snobbish. It's not that I don't like them, it's just everyone is so overly friendly & they want to know your whole life story. It's a small town with not a lot going on. I'm nice, but I keep my answers short, hoping they take the hint. If not, I excuse myself that I need to get going or I'm going to be late for something or sometimes, I'll call my friend or even pretend I'm on the phone. I have social anxiety, so sometimes I get overwhelmed.

I don’t care. Im polite and i will say hi when i pass them. I talk to my next door neighbours as my daughter is in the same class as their daughter and on the other side they are a working couple with a 18 year old so they are all out a lot of the time. Most of the people round here are about 20/30 years older than me so its not likely we would become friends. It doesn’t hurt to say hello and make short conversations. 
My mum always said be polite to your neighbours, you never know when you might need them. Like if theres ever burglars going round or if you have a vacation they will keep an eye on the house.

I don't care if mine like me or not. I unfortunately do not live in the best of area and they are always doing illegal activities.  I keep to myself.
