For reference, I live in the US. And I'm paying $450 for the session plus rights to digital download. I've never hired a photographer, so I don't know what the etiquette is.

I own a bakery from home and people always try to tip me and I decline. We’re not waiters - our profits are built into the cost you pay so we don’t NEED tips. Sure I mean it’s kind of you to offer, but it’s certainly not necessary. Unless they go above and beyond the cost you’re paying, no need to tip.
