Just happened with and my husband of 7 years. He had an "emotional" affair which i had a feeling he did....lied about it for 5 years then came clean. In that five years i randomly got hpv 3 years after the "emotional affair" while pregnant with our second.... NO WAY was i staying with him after he lied for 5 years especially when i asked multiple times in those years. You dont deserve that you deserve better. Who knows what else he lying about and for how long he plans to keep it a secret

I would never get it out of my head. Doesnt matter if ur faithful for years u werent then and then youve been a liar on top of it. How am i ever suppose to believe u wont do it again and lie to me

I would be angry and upset. But as it was years ago I would try and forgive him. You can’t change the past.

Only you know what's best. 
You need to have a discussion with him and ask him WHY it happened, was it a one off thing? What was happening in his mind that led him to that? By that I mean, why he felt the need to go looking for another woman (I'm in no way saying you had anything to do with that.) Then you gotta ask yourself, If whatever he was feeling/going through that led him there, happened again, would he cheat again?
It's all well and good asking people on the internet but they'll only tell you "yes, leave him" "No, don't leave" because we only have this snapshot of your life. You know the bigger picture, and only you know if you 2 can move on from this. Some people do end up staying together and rebuilding the relationship and some don't.

This is SO hard….especially throw kids in the mix for me???? In my mind I would temporarily split, download Tinder and ho out to “get even” and then potentially get back together for the kids? But that’s easier said than done. It would break my heart but idk if I could ever get over it.
