Painful Braxton Hicks?

I’m guessing I’m having Braxton Hicks but they hurt. They’re low and nothing consistent or building. I never had this with my first but I have been under a lot of stress lately. I of course emailed my obgyn. Is anyone else having this?

Yes! My OB said it can be normal and that braxton hicks come in all variety but doctors rarely tell you that. I didn't have braxton hicks with my first at all so I didn't know what to expect to start with. Then when they hurt I was so confused.

Braxton Hicks can be uncomfortable and cause cramping but they typically subside by changing position or hydrating. True contractions don’t ease no matter what you do and will increase in intensity over time.
