Any tips on making a play pen more comfy for sleeping?

We are going away on a trip and have to use a play pen for our son to sleep in. Only problem is it’s not as comfy as his mattress. Any suggestions to make it better for him? Thank you in advance!

I used a mattress in it.  That’s not ideal for traveling though.  I would use a waterproof pack n play protector and a microfiber sheet.  Nothing else to cozy it up if baby is under 18 months.

With the Pack n Play, it’s considered a safe sleep environment. Altering it beyond added a tight fitted sheet, means it’s no longer a guaranteed safe sleep environment. The mattresses are supposed to be firm. Just leave it be. ❤️

If your baby is under 12 months it is safest to just use the mattress that came with it and nothing else. You can sometimes buy standard fitting mattresses but would need to research carefully and check with the brand you have.
Soft mattresses, mattresses that don’t fit perfectly (ie aren’t made for your particular brand of pack n play) and extra blankets, etc to make it ‘softer’ are safety issues.
