I’m on day 5 of no taste or smell & I’m just over it.

When I had it I was better in about a week. Got my taste and smell back then as well.

I had Covid in October and my sense of smell and taste are still wonky

My husband didn’t lose his but it made things taste weird and a year later some things still taste weird to him

Came back in about 7-14 days, if I remember right, when all the other symptoms were fading. Luckily I didn’t have any weird tingle smells/taste like other people have had, mine came back just fine, but just like 3 things do taste different. Coke, for example, tastes like…there’s no other way to describe it but like chemicals.

I started showing symptoms July 22nd lost my sense of smell a few days later and just now feel like I got it back even tho it’s not 100%. I can smell things but I have to be near them and like trying to sniff/smell it! For a few weeks if I smelled perfume or something my nose would burn or tingle and that was that start of it coming back, then I could smell a little… for example I could smell that cinnamon buns were sweet if I sniffed them, the smell would go away quick tho and I couldn’t smell the cinnamon itself. Then I started smelling things how they were supposed to smell (a week ago maybe) but it wouldn’t last more than a few second before I couldn’t smell it anymore. I never lost my sense of taste thankfully!

My taste only came back about 80% but my smell is permanently screwed up. Everything smells like ass.

Got my taste back within a week. It’s been 8 months now and my smell is not Normal. Had 4 months of zero smell and now I’m at like 4 months of parosmia (distorted smell)
