Best gap for children ?

I want to hear opinions on what you think is the best age gap?
I always wanted 2 years but pregnancy during summer again when I have so many wedding etc does not sound fun, it wasn’t fun last time.
But 2 and a half to 3 sounds like such a big gap.

Me and my siblings are all 4 years apart and honestly it worked out really well for our relationships. And me being the oldest could help out when my youngest brother was born since I was 8 at the time. I just loved how it worked for us and it makes me want mine to be that way too. Although, my stepdaughter is going to be 3 when this baby is born. So I don’t 100% get my wish. But close enough

I wanted a 2.5 year gap but had a loss so my kids are 10 days shy of exactly 3 years apart and to be honest I love the gap. My daughter was old enough to do a lot on her own and now she loves to play with her brother.
We are TTC #3 and final, trying for a nearly 3 year gap again.

I have a 2 year gap ( almost exactly) and a less than 2 year gap. I really do think it depends on your child(ren)s personality. In my case, I prefer the two year gap over the less than 2 year. Our next gap will be a 2 years 1 month gap and I’m really looking forward to it. IMO, I’d aim for a 2-2.5 year gap.

Mine are going to be 3 1/2 years apart, would’ve been 2 1/2 but took us a while to conceive. I think it’s a disservice to kids to have them too close together, but can also be hard starting over if there’s a large age gap.

Our 2 sons will be a little over 3y and honestly I wouldn’t have done it any other way. I think I could’ve handled it if it happened sooner but I like the idea of being with my newborn and my toddler being able to do a lot of things himself. Although I do have a pretty independent toddler where some moms don’t. Like he is totally fine occupying himself, putting on his shoes, we are working on potty training etc… so I guess the “gap” really depends on what you will have on your plate so to say? If we decide to try for a 3rd I would like it to be like 1 1/2y to 2y gap rather than 3 but also by that time our first son will be older and can help out with his siblings more and he even more independent.

2.5 years is a perfect gap, honestly under 2 they are still pretty baby like and need a lot of help and attention. My girls are 2.5 years apart and the best of friends and my oldest seemed to adjust well her sister came along
