We have this and I love that’s it’s breathable we also go the waterproof upgrade and it works wonders !

Affordable AND amazing. It’s firm but it’s not hard. Breathable and soft. My toddler sleeps 10 hours a night on his and I just bought another one of these for baby 2. It’s not waterproof though (those vinyl ones are uncomfortable anyways) but I got a $15 sealy crib quilted waterproof mattress protector

This is ours. We’ve used it for 4 years and 2 kids with no complaints.
