Talking stage sucks

I’m 19 and I’ve been talking to this guy. He’s really nice and we’ve went out/ hung out 3 times. I’m worried because I think I’m catching feelings for him but I don’t want to get hurt. We had a conversation about past relationships a while ago and he talked about how he’d hang with a girl and she’d ask “what they were” and then they’d end up being Bf and gf and he’d break up w then a couple months later or whatever cause it’s not what he wanted. So now I’m scared to bring up anything serious. It’s been great when him and I hangout. He kisses me and we cuddled. Idk what to do.
