Question

My 3 month old has just started (within the last week) fighting me while feeding. She won’t stay latched for long. She eats then squirms and throws her hands everywhere and arches her back. Then she will latch again for a min but do it all over again. It’s frustrating and I feel like she doesn’t get a full feeding. What do I do? What could it mean? Is she allergic to something…? Is she getting frustrated because of another reason?

My 3 month old has started to be more difficult with some of her feedings too. Make sure your breasts aren’t too full at the start of the feeding. My baby doesn’t eat well when I’m really full because she gets too much at once. I use a Haakaa before I feed her if I’m full. She also doesn’t eat well when she needs to burp, fart, or poop. I’ll try burping her and if she’s still fighting it then I’ll put her in her bouncer to calm down for a bit and give her a calm spot to try to poop. Lately she has started to go longer between feedings and I think I’m feeding her when she’s not that hungry. So that’s what I do. You got this mama!
