So I work at a fast food place, and this lady has come through twice, two days in a row. Totally okay.... except.... her 8-10 year old in the front seat holding his, what looks to be, newborn-2 month old baby sister. Whiling holding a phone watching videos. No seat belt on him either. She explained that this fast food place is out of her way and she comes here because of our food quality... the only way to get to our place is from the highway. So she is driving her kids around like this not only on the street (duh) but on the highway as well. And it scares me! This time I took her license plate number because I don't know if I should report it to the police or not. So I wanted yalls opinion.

You should ask her if she needs a car seat for the kids! You’ll be able to tell if she needs help with money to buy one or if she’s risking her kids life of purpose. Based on her answer, you can make a report and mention she needs help or is actually risking her children’s life intentionally with no care.

I would most definitely report this! Not only that but I would pull her down tellingbher that her food needs to cook, get her plate number and call right then.

Her goal is the kids not dying in the car! Her boss would be proud of her. If the police do nothing then they are fools.

Definitely call the police. The comment about asking if she has a car seat, while nice, isn't good enough. Regardless of whether or not she has a carseat, if her car is even capable of having a carseat, then there's a backseat. 8-10 year old shouldn't even be in the front seat yet because of the weight limits and airbag requirements. If an airbag goes off in that front seat, that little baby will be killed, and the 8-10 yo will likely be badly injured. If you don't have the means to transport your children safely in a car, then you find another way to transport them. You walk if you have to. And if this fast food place is too far to walk to, then you find something closer. This isn't just a matter of the kids potentially getting injured, which in itself is unacceptable as well, but rather a matter of life and death for that baby and possibly for the 8-10yo too. As a parent, you don't knowingly  get to put your children in that kind of position. Also, hospitals don't let you leave after giving birth if you don't have a carseat. So she either has or had one somewhere and isn't using it for some reason. Unfortunately, this will likely end up being a CPS case, and that sucks. But idk if it's worse than the very real possibility of death every time they're in that car. Which could be every day and possibly multiple times a day.

Report it. That’s illegal. Get her license plate numbers and make the call. You’ll be saving 2 kids lives!
