Its a long read but advice would be appreciated!!! I have no one to ask other than the attorney (who wants my money ofcourse) so i need advice!

My husband and i filed bankruptcy chapter 13. Weve been making payments for almost 3 years. They were deducting our monthly payments from our check every pay day. My husband got a new job making way more money. In that time we contacted our trustee and left multiple voicemails and noone would return our calls. Long story short, they dismissed our case. They contacted us wanting us to refile for chapter 7.

We basically owe now just as much as we did when we filed because of interest and fees.

The only debt we have is credit cards, personal loans, a small truck loan (would be paid off in less than a year if we settled) and another vehicle loan which we recently totaled. After the insurance pays on the totaled vehicle we still owe 11,000 on that. We now have no way to haul our huge family. What is the best option? If i refile for chapter 13, wont it start all over like i never filed? Will i still show a dismissed case on my credit report? If i file for chapter 7, ill have 10 years to wait. Will i still have a dismissed case plus a chapter 7 on my credit report? What if i just dont refile and work out payments with everyone i owe. How long does a dismissed case show on my credit report and how could i get another vehicle?
