I have. However, I know it would ruin me financially. That said, I want to to be married. I love my husband. He’s an amazing father, and I insisted on marriage counseling which helped. Every once I awhile I go through waves of feeling stuck, but I think we’re over that hump. I truly adore my husband and marriage is hard and takes work.

We mutually contemplated it within our first year of marriage because our communication with each other sucked. We eventually decided that we wanted this to work out and worked hard at communicating and putting effort into one another. Now we've been married for almost 13 years and we have two kids. I am so glad we fought for us because its been so incredibly worth it.

Still debating it all myself…..right now it’s for the kids.  He’s not a bad person and we don’t fight.  I’m just not appreciated and do all the “adulting” he’s basically my 3rd child.  He knows it upsets me and continues not to change.  He makes our kids happy though so I’m willing to sacrifice my own happiness.  I go back and forth on the question of am I setting the right example for them though and showing them what a loving respectful relationship looks like.  It’s hard.  There’s no right decision just the one you’re willing to live with at the end of the day.

Not honestly. Sometimes we make jokes if one says "I don't like _____" the other would say something like "I can't be married to you anymore."

I only considered it because I was scared of what the future held with raising a child with an alcoholic if he didn’t get help. I was panicking, but he hit rock bottom and got the help he desperately needed ❤️

I thought about it several times BUT we aren't legally bound to each other just spiritually. We're not legally married because my health insurance would cost more than our rent, not including my medications which add up to like 1.2k a month. I've thought about it because my health was getting really bad and he had a lot to deal with already and I felt like a burden not just to him but our children as well. It was a deep depressive phase I went through but with the urging of my therapist we talked about it and I decided to allow him to make that choice for himself. We're still together and I'm still working through depressive phases related to my health but instead of internalizing it I'm able to talk about it now and we work through it together.
