Likelihood of missed twin during ultrasound?

Question

I have had 3 pregnancies (1 miscarriage) and I am 10 weeks today. Even though this is my second baby, I feel larger than I should be - I also had elevated hcg levels from blood work at 6 weeks. My first ultrasound only detected one baby, but what is the likelihood that a twin was missed? Anyone have any experience with this? Or am I just going to be massive with a singleton? lol

Yup same here, 3 pregnancies with 1 being a MC, and I look like I’m 16 weeks, not 10!

I got a lot bigger a lot faster with my second. It’s normal 😊 now I’m on my third, and you get bigger even faster. It’s insane 😂

Your bump looks typical size for 10 weeks IMO, not too big.

They didn’t find my twins until the 10week ultrasound. So it’s possible

Very likely I didn’t know about my twin B until I was 9 weeks pregnant & I had two prior ultrasounds!

It is very much possible. During my 9 week scan i was told that i had an ovarian cyst, three weeks later i went to the ER because i had bright red spotting. Only to find out that my ovarian cyst was another baby. My HCG levels was through the roof as well.

Generally you show sooner with your second, with my second I also suspected twins because they run in the family and my hcg was 130,000 at 8 weeks and it never got that high with my first baby. But nope just one baby in there. There’s a chance it could have been missed but It’s unlikely
