Cysts

So I just got back from my drs apt for my progesterone results and of course it’s low only 9.2ml but I have to be put on birth control due to my symptoms of hurting sooooo bad after ovulation well the dr wanted to do an ultrasound and it’s a good thing they did I have a massive angry cyst the size of my uterus on my rite overy. Pcos runs in my family and I do get small cysts once in a while so they are nothing new to me but the size of this is very concerning. She said it could be a normal cyst or a corpus luteum and could be preventing progesterone from getting to a possible pregnancy. Has anyone had this before and what was the treatment and experience for it?
