Anyone has done this!? I have 4 kids and with 2 of them I had PPD. With my youngest the PPD was bad 😔 I’m scared of getting it again I’m 21 weeks and that’s the only thing that scares me after birth

No. There’s no proven benefit to it.

Personally, I feel if the contents were meant  to stay in our bodies it wouldn’t be discarded naturally as waste in birth. It would be reabsorbed. I’ve read horror stories of it causing severe anxiety, depression, infection, and nausea in people who have tried even from reputable sources. There’s no known benefits but a lot of risk, even animals who eat their own placenta in the wild are more likely to die following birth. Personally I would do extensive research before You decide based on anecdotal stories from people who’ve done it

I did it with my first and will do it again! Just have a credible person doing it. My cousin did mine and I got to watch the whole process. She completely sterilized the entire work station, cleaned the placenta really well, steamed it with herbs, dehydrated it overnight, and I had no adverse effects from it. I healed from my birth fairly quickly, had a decent amount of energy for sleep deprivation, and no ppd.

There is no proven benefit to it. However plenty of women I know who did it swear by it. My best friend does this for a living. She makes chocolates and other goodies with it in addition to pills. I personally wouldn't take it because it's gross to me and again there are no proven benefits
