Hospital or no?

My 7 week old has RSV. She’s not eating much which is to be expected since she’s not feeling well. Her fever has been low grade and has only gotten up to 99.5 at it’s highest. But I know you’re not supposed to take them to the hospital unless it reaches 100.3
But she hasn’t had a pee in over 6 hours. I’m not sure what the grounds are for taking her to the hospital for dehydration and could use an opinion.

99.5 is not a low grade fever, it’s not a fever at all actually. A fever is body temp of 100.4 or higher and a fever of 100.4 is considered low grade. A high grade fever is 103+. So if temp is 99.5 and LO is otherwise the same as she was, no need to go. But if symptoms are not improving and she is not doing well, then call Pedi. For dehydration, have you tried pedialyte instead of Brest milk? That’s probably the only thing that’s ok to give an infant in place of breast milk at this age but I do not know volume that is ok, so I would say call pedi to find out. Ultimately you have to listen to your mom gut, no one knows your baby like you do and if it feels wrong and off, take LO in so a medical professional can tell you she’s ok. Sometimes all the hassle is worth hearing that your baby is just fine. Peace of mind if nothing comes of it, and hopefully nothing does come of it. LO this small with illnesses do need to be taken very seriously though so do what you feel is right and best.
