I’m having a really small wedding but my mom and sister have been asking me to invite more people for months. I told them to stop asking bc I won’t change my mind. Now they want to throw me a bridal shower or engagement party so that they can invite more people and have a big party. It’s nice of them to want to put time/effort/$ into planning a party for me but everything I read online says it’s rude to invite people to pre-wedding parties who aren’t invited to the wedding. What do you think? I don’t want to keep insulting them by shooting down their ideas but I don’t want to be rude and gift-grabby
