Anyone got any tips for your gag reflex when giving head?

Some people say that if you grip your thumb between your other fingers and squeeze it supposed to help, but personally when it happens, I just lift up and keep going basically don’t go as deep, kind of common sense. Focus on the vein that runs up the back, the crown, the ring below the tip, and just going up and down use your hands, use your mouth, don’t go as deep only do it randomly, when you feel the gag reflex coming on, lift up, just keep going

There's gripping your thumb, my ex also told me not to go as deep and focus on the tip and balls. You can lick the length without taking it all in.

They have that throat numbing spray. I heard that helps people. I don’t have one but I remember always attempting to see how far I could go on a banana when I was kid 😩 I had no idea what I was working myself up to at the time but I think it’s built up a tolerance. I was also born with no tonsils.
