Membrane sweep??

Has anyone had a membrane sweep that was successful?? I didn’t have one at all with my first and I’m thinking about requesting one at my 39 week appointment Monday. How long after having one did labor happen if you had one? How bad does it hurt?

I had one with both my first two. My son I had it at 40 weeks and went into labor the next day and then with my daughter I had it at 39 weeks and went into labor the same day. I’m praying it works for me on Monday with my third!!!

I’m wanting to get one and have been asking but the np yesterday won’t do it till I’m at least at 2-3 and I’m only at a 1. I go back Monday maybe they can see if they can do it. I’ve never had it done.

With my first I had one at 40+4 wks. I was already 3cm. I went into labor that evening and had her the next day. It was uncomfortable but nothing super painful.

With my first I had one and had the baby the next day.
My 2nd I had one and it was unsuccessful. Went back a week later and had one and had the baby a few hours later but I was already 5cm dilated at that point… the doctor was shocked I had not gone in to labour yet
