Eyes open or closed during sex?

My husband and I were talking about this earlier because I always have my eyes closed during sex. Not sure why/how/when I started doing it. I’ve just always been like that. I think I’m doing it because I’m focusing on the feeling and sounds? Is this normal? Please help 🥺

It varies for me. If I'm in a position that I can see him then they are usually open, but if I can't then they are usually closed. You're right tho, having them closed helps to focus on how it feels, so either way I vote that it's normal

I can understand how having sex with somebody you don't know very well and making eye contact with them could just be extremely awkward I've been with my husband for almost 15 years and we have a lot of intimacy between us when we have sex we stared at each other in the eyes sometimes and it is fire...yes baby but we don't always do that
So I think when you really really know a person and can really connect with them on an intimate level and that's when the eye contact in sex comes into play
I think the more you love somebody the more intimacy there can be in sex therefore more eye contact but that's just me and my husband I don't know about other couples

I’ve always done this too! For years I’ve felt awkward making eye contact with anyone and I’m always self conscious of how I look during sexy time. It also helps me focus on my pleasure though if my eyes are closed. I definitely open them on occasion to get glances of him but that’s about it. He doesn’t mind luckily
