Yeah it’s a PMS symptom . Normal your body holds on to liquids . Probably just water weight then actual weight.

Maybe a bit of water weight? I'm extremely underweight, so I definitely notice during my luteal phase & on my period, my lower belly looks bigger and swollen- very swollen sometimes. 
I think the uterus swells? Or is it bloating? Or just water retention? Not sure. 
But yeah, I think inflammation or water weight could cause a person to feel heavier or think they put on weight- but really it's just your body doing its thing.

I don't know if I actually get heavier, but I definitely get pretty bloated for a couple days before my period and then a bit of bloating when I'm on it
