Tattoo while breastfeeding?

I’m 4 months into my breastfeeding journey and don’t plan on quitting for awhile. But I want a tattoo! Something to do with my daughter.. I’m wondering if I should wait until I’m done with breastfeeding or if I could get it sooner?

My friend just got hers done at like 4 days PP! It’s pretty much up to you. There’s always a risk of infection but there’s a risk of infection with a papercut. A reputable place should be okay. My husband is a tattoo artist and I want to BF for at least 6 months so he’ll definitely be doing me in that time

After delivery, you're not sharing blood with you baby so I don't see the issue. Even if you got an infection, it wouldn't pass onto baby.

Get it after! Just like with pregnancy there's not enough evidence to say if it's good or bad. But considering it runs through your blood stream, I wouldn't risk it.
