I have some questions (FTM)

S

Hello ladies I am full of questions and in need of some answers 🙂. My son is 3 weeks old and before three days ago I was exclusively pumping every 2-3 hours. I breast fed for two days after he was born but he had bad latching so I bled so much and gave up. 3 days ago I decided to breastfeed him again. I was terrified not going to lie because I was a bit traumatized from the pain and blood from before. I am happy to say that he latched on right away when I tried again and it didn’t hurt! I still bottle feed sometimes but mainly breastfeed. So these are my questions

• How do I know my baby is eating enough at the boob?

• My son sometimes feeds for 20 minutes other times he feeds for 5-10 minutes and then falls asleep is that okay?

• Is it okay that I started breast feeding him at 3 weeks?

• Sometimes during the night my 3 week old will slee for 4-6 hours is this okay? He used to wake me up religiously every 2-3 hours to eat but for the past few days he’s pushed it to 4-5 hours and I’m not sure if that’s good or not while I love the extra sleep I wanna make sure my baby is doing good and eating right.

•When I was pumping everyday for 2-3 hours a day I would fall an ounce to three ounces short in the day. If I’m breastfeeding now does that mean I’m still fall short if so should I feed him a little bit of formula or should he be fine?

I believe that is all of my questions thank you ladies 🤍
