Getting a Hysterosalpingogram. Take the valium or not?

I am scheduled to get a Hysterosalpingogram next month. They are offering valium but I'm unsure if I'll need it. If you've had it done what are your thoughts?

I took a codeine and paracetamol tablet before mine and found it absolutely fine!!

I say take it. You never know how your body will react. I’m glad I had when I had mine done. Though it was only slightly painful for me, I have a friend who did have a blockage and it was painful for her. I’m not saying that to scare you, but I’d say better safe than sorry. Best of luck ♥️

I took an ibuprofen and it was over so quick I didn’t feel like I really needed it. I was lying there for a minute and it felt a little heavy and then there was three seconds of intense pain and it was all over! I yelled out “oh yeah, that does hurt!.” However, the woman before me looked in pain after and hers took a little longer because she had a blockage. Woman after me had a quick experience and no pain, it really depends!
