Baby Shower in Covid Times… are you?

My baby is due in Dec and a few people have asked if I’m having a shower… I’m not sure if it’s safe, and in the PNW an outdoor shower in fall/winter will be pretty chilly an unreliable with weather. What is everyone doing??

I’m also due in December and we aren’t. We were also a 2020 Covid wedding couple and I could not mentally go through the stress of it all again. I did make an Amazon registry if anyone asked but passing on the shower.

I am also due in dec and we are having a baby shower but it will be outside on the first weekend in October since it will still be warmer here in Maryland then.

I’m not even though I contemplated hard on one, I just set up a Baby registry and people have been purchasing things off of it and getting directly mailed to me

Have read many posts on Reddit from moms who had baby showers with unvaccinated people outdoors and still got COVID. My baby’s safety is more important than a shower or hurting someone’s feelings over not having one

We've booked out a floor of a local cafe for 16 9th October, all but 1 are vaccinated, if the cafe aren't happy / allowed to hold it we'l get our money back. But can't put everything on hold forever
