Adult acne

Question

Does anyone have any good face cleaning regiments or vitamins they take for adult acne?
I’m 27 next week and still get crazy acne, and I’m so bad at leaving it alone. But it embarrasses me like no other. 
Any ideas, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This stuff really helped my hormonal acne clear up!! Its a monthly subscription,  so its a little pricey but soo worth it to be comfortable in your own skin (imo). If you can be seen by a dermatologist, clindamycin works wonders!!

It can be hormonal and from androgens. Ask your doctor about it. Dhea-s, testosterone blood tests too/ and other symptoms like hair thinning in front. If acne is from high androgens, google “myoinositol and d-chiro-inositol” which can help acne (a doctor told me about it. It’s used for an endocrine disorder called PCOS, that causes infertility and other symptoms like acne. Women can still have pcos even with normal cycles and a normal/thin weight he said! I couldn’t believe it). 
Low dose spironolactone can help with period acne! 
(I haven’t tried it myself, so I can’t confirm, but I read amazing things about it) 
Also, please use (Google) the website “SkinSafe” (SkinSafeProducts.com) 
and switch to hypoallergenic face wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, clothes detergent. (No dryer sheets- it’s pore clogging wax. Most hair products have substances and preservatives that break out the face and back. The ingredient is either pore clogging itself, or it’s hormone alternating. 
I LOVE my new products bc my skin is finally what I want it to look like. It took 3 weeks before I saw improvements. And I did a complete change to all “SkinSafe” products (this website is partnered with MAYO Clinic! you can check and compare your current products and find alternatives. I picked all  “100%” safe products (most easy to find at Walmart, target, Walgreens) and plenty of very affordable/cheap options. 
My acne is gone! 
What I didn’t expect was my terrible embarrassing eczema on scalp, body and eyelids is GONE.  (It was crusts, large flakes, red skin, oozing in sections), I tried and failed prescriptions (or the prescription worked and then overtime my skin laughed and adapted to it and the prescription stopped working). Some were dangerous too, but I had no choice. 
I’m upset the previous skincare products I used (with pretty fragrances and  silky textures, many even labeled hypoallergenic (lies!)) were causing my stubborn eczema from hell. I didn’t know. The various dermatologists never told me either. They said I’d be on medications for life. 
Anyways, back to acne, 
Do wash your hair before bed each night if you want super clear face skin (again, use fragrance free, “SkinSafe” shampoo and conditioner. For me, I can’t use aloe for whatever reason).
I know washing seems excessive, but give it a solid month try? washing every single night was and is a must for me. (And my hair isn’t greasy so you’d think I wouldn’t need to. I do).
Use a new pillow case every night or if not, as often as you can. 
Pillow cases need to be “OEKO-Tex” certified! Check the inner tag. 
Wash laundry, especially  pillow cases with only SkinSafe approved laundry detergents! 
You need less detergent then you think. 
I believe Arm & Hammer (the free & clear one) is safe, but it might not have the ingredient “florescent 71” in it which is why it can cause clothes to look dull. Laundry detergents use fluorescent chemical to “brighten” clothes. To this detergent will not leave clothes as “bright” or vibrant and “glowing white” or well... “fluorescent” looking.. 
If you need that quality for certain clothing items (I get it!), but still need something gentle and skinsafe for acne (which is  also eyelid and eczema safe), then try ‘Tide ￼free and clear POWDERed’ detergent (it comes in a box). It’s great. 
Read the instructions on how to use it. 
Keep in mind most “free and clear” products are NOT skinsafe! (Crazy right?) They still contain irritating preservatives that can cause acne and skin flareups. 
For example, some of the “Tide free and clear” detergents are not skin safe. (***one of the LIQUIDs is not eyelid allergy safe either! But one it the powdered forms is). Tide does make a “simply free and sensitive” one in liquid (Walgreens carries it) 
But it has to say “simply” on it. Check the SkinSafe site. 
Also, I find I only need half of what I thought I did for detergent. I was also instructed to put the washer on a “clean water rinse cycle” bc my doctor said washing machines these days are “HE” to save water, but fail to remove the chemicals from detergent. He said they see a lot of skin issues now because of it.

Please don’t buy products (supplements like myoinositol) from Amazon.  
Most are now adulterated.  I found out the hard way. Purchase from a local vitamin store or the official distributor’s website for the product. It’s not worth the risk! Trust me.
