He was still talking to his ex…

So a few nights ago, my boyfriend got super drunk. As he was falling asleep he asked me to open up his phone and text someone for him. As I was scrolling through I came across him and his ex’s old texts, and I’ve heard A LOT about her being crazy from almost every friend and family member of his that I’ve met. So my curiosity got the best of me. When him and I got together in July of last year, they had very very recently broken up and I knew that. For the first week or two we were talking they were still messaging (which he made me very aware of), because she had attempted suicide before and he was afraid of her doing it again. I always wondered about the messages between them though. Well as I looked, I realized that on my birthday last year, a week into us talking and the first time he ever took me on a date they talked. And when I say my heart melted. He straight up told her that he had fallen fast for someone else and he was going to block her because he didn’t want to ruin anything with me! My heart melted y’all, that was all the reassurance I could’ve ever needed that he won’t ever hurt me.
