Is it safer to have a repeat c section or VBAC?

I had my son 4 years ago and eventually we wsnt another one in like a year or so. I had a c section because he was "sunny side up" and was stuck. For those who have experienced it, is it generally safer to have a repeat c section or a VBAC?

As long as there are no other risk factors and no obvious reason to have a c-section, it’s generally safer to try for VBAC. Vaginal deliveries are generally safer than surgical deliveries, as surgery comes with its own risks and the more c-sections you have, the more scarring your uterus has which can be more dangerous for any future pregnancies and can increase your risk for uterine rupture.
As always, it’s best to discuss all of your options and the risks and benefits with your doctor or midwife. Every pregnancy and everyone’s health history is different. For some women, it is better to have a repeat c-section. For most, it’s better to opt for VBAC as long as there are no other high risk factors other than prior c-section.

Typically vbac is safer no matter what (with a few exceptions). Csection is a major surgery that comes with a lot of risks people don’t like to talk about. I had a vbac and I 100% plan to have another with this baby

I would talk to your OB about it.  Mine plugged in some information (weight, age, previous births, extra) into a calculator they have and have me a percentage of having a successful v-bac.  For me it was 60%.  Then we talked about the pros and cons of each option and made a plan for me specifically as a patient.  Everyone is different health wise and we all have different goals when it comes to birth plans and future pregnancies, so talking with your doctor about what’s best for you as a patient and making a plan specifically for you is what I would recommend.

After my 1st section they told me I should try for a vbac, unfortunately I wasn't able to as baby was breech again but this time I've been told it's safer for me to have another c section

My OB says 18 months post C section and you are safe to try for VBAC. I would think 4-5 years would be even better, but obviously that's going to depend on the new little one and many other factors to see if you area good candidate for VBAC. A discussion to have with your doctor.
