What is normal the day after circumcision ? How long until your baby felt better

Okay so my baby was circumcised yesterday :( he is 2 weeks old and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made. I hate seeing him in pain. Idk how to make sure I’m taking care of it right. I cover his diaper in Vaseline every diaper change , I have given tylenol when he seems very uncomfortable.   I just can’t wait for him to feel okay again. 
How long did it take for your baby? Any advice ? 
Also it is really red and swollen looking today ? What is normal for it to look like over the next few days ? I hate this. I told my husband multiple times I didn’t want to but he wanted to so I felt like I had to. I knew I would regret it and I do.

Honestly the recovery time is super minimal. You are doing everything right. ♥️

I feel like my son was fine within a week.
He really only fussed for about an hour after then acted like he completely forgot about it.

Well, you had a significant part of his penis cut off...takes time to heal.

Mine was fine right away. We put vasoline on tip and covered it up with no issues

We used vaseline, gauze, then diaper. We changed the gauze and added vaseline at each diaper change.

Our little guy looked pretty unbothered but the second or third day. He would react a bit at diaper time but we did everything you did and he healed super quickly! I didn’t even need Tylenol. He’s almost 2 now and it looks totally normal haha!

We got ours done the day after he was born while I was in recovery.. honestly he slept right after didn’t even fuss we used A&D for every diaper change for about a week or 2 not sure how long but it healed pretty quick and he was really good about it.

Both my sons slept through the surgery, and didn't even cry. They weren't really in pain afterward. They give you cream to put on, and after like 2 days it starts to look normal!

Not minimizing what you’re going through but it sounds like it’s affecting you wayyyy more than him. A little discomfort is normal, just follow the after care instructions and it should be a thing of the past in a couple days 😊
