COVID Vaccine • Second Trimester

Alana | Active Duty | STM🧿

First off, I would like to preface this post with I’m active duty military and as of yesterday, we are all required to get vaccinated or face admin separation. I however, am exempt due to the fact that I’m pregnant. They feel as if there aren’t enough studies done yet on developing fetuses to push it on us moms-to-be quite yet. It is foreseeable however, that it will be mandatory for ALL NO MATTER WHAT the longer the vaccine is studied. I’m now facing a dilemma b/c my husband and I decided I would get it after I give birth but I’m being pressured by both my parents to get vaccinated (they send me articles everyday to scare me, even this morning about a woman and her baby dying). It’s frustrating because I feel either way, I’m failing as a mom or a wife or a daughter. I’m just frustrated! Any advice? If you’ve gotten the shot while pregnant, are you and baby okay? If you’ve decided not to, what were your reasons? Thanks y’all! 😔💕 signed, a very confused and frustrated momma.
