Did anyone else not get cleared

I went in for my 6w postpartum check up at 7w which was Monday and they didn’t clear me for sex😭 I had a c section and she said everything feels great and looks great and you can’t even see the scar. She said I’m okay for everything else but I can’t have sex until three more weeks which I’ll be 10wpp because “no sex until I put your birth control in”

Yeah it’s better to not risk pregnancy… But you should’ve asked why can’t you just use condoms…

No mention of your cervix still being a little dilated or anything, right? That’s pretty much the only thing that should stand in the way at this point unless you had really severe tearing or something. That’s whackkkk.

I was not cleared until 12 weeks but for medical reasons, not because of birth control. I would maybe call back and ask if sex with protection is OK.

It’s not up to a doctor to allow you to have sex but they can recommend when you should or shouldn’t. I was told at 6 weeks that I may want to wait until 8 because I had a second degree tear that was still healing.

After my c section I was cleared at 6 weeks. Everything looked great. Scar looked perfect. 
But when we had sex it felt like the incision was fresh. The muscles in my lower abdomen started throbbing and we had to stop before either of us were finished. 
I would maybe wait until it feels like you can do a whole lower abdominal workout with pain.

My 6 week appointment was done over the phone so I didn't even get a check up and when I asked about sex the woman mumbled something and put the phone down.

If that's their only reasoning do it anyway
