IUD pain?!
Hey all, haven’t posted or even been on here in a hot minute, but I figured I might be able to get some advice from the ladies if ya’ll have time💙
Back story:
I have had two Skyla IUDs in the past five years. I am currently still on my second one. I really love having an IUD and I like how it works and I don’t have to think about anything. My husband thinks it’s the bees knees too and I really hate to think about getting rid of it, but here’s the problem… I have had some of the worst pain in my entire life in the past five years off and on and I have HAD IT. My doctors have looked into it and keep saying it’s cysts but never find any when they do ultrasounds (had three of them and they found nothing). I’m not a wimp with pain, I shattered my knee and walked six miles on it over three days before getting it checked out, but this pain breaks me down and I’ve almost checked myself into the ER. It’s scares my husband and it scares me, but when my doctor checks things out she shrugs (been to three different doctors, on my way to another one in the next week).
Okay so! Here’s the pain and symptoms:
Cramping and pressure on the left side ovary off and on, but far too often and not around my period.
Severe severe sharp pains that radiate up my side and down the inside of my leg that lasts for hours. It’ll come in waves almost like contractions, but it’ll take my breath away, I can’t breath through it.
Bloating at the weirdest times and a heaviness in my uterus.
My hip feels tight and uncomfortable and tendons down by my lady bits feel like tight rubber bands ready to snap.
The area hurts to touch it and I can only lay on my back. Not on my sides, the pressure is unbearable.
I’ll be sore the next day and have to take it easy.
I never bleed before, during, or after.
I get shaky and nauseated.
Over the counter pain killers don’t even touch the pain. The only think that helps a little bit is holding very still and using a heating pad (sometimes with a THC lotion on top of that if I can stand touching the area).
Now can ANYONE explain this or have had similar experiences?!?! And if so did you ever figure it out??? I’m at a total loss and at this point I plan on having my IUD removed to go through the process of elimination. Thank you in advance!
