Period in communal shower??

Hey I’m a freshman in college and I just got my period but I’ve never had to use communal showers or have less privacy so can you help me figure out a plan that I can do what I need to do with the lack of privacy that I have. How do you even put a tampon on standing up in the shower?

Idk about putting it in in the shower - that’s normally done afterwards over a toilet or something.

why not just wait until your shower is over and put one in like normal?

You’ll have to squat. Why don’t you just go straight to the toilet after your shower to put your tampon in?

Just do it after your shower. It’s not that complicated I promise. I lived in the dorms and my period was never an issue. I didn’t have any less privacy for real other than someone possibly hearing my wrapper.
